Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a committed and meticulous Kitchen Assistant to support the smooth running of kitchen operations for our client. In this role, you will be a vital part of the team, assisting with the preparation of ingredients, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space. Your contribution will be crucial in upholding our standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Assist in getting meal ingredients ready, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping various produce and proteins. * Help with unloading and organizing food deliveries. * Store food supplies properly to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety rules. * Follow all food and beverage safety guidelines. * Maintain high standards of hygiene when handling and storing food. * Adhere to all workplace safety and health regulations. * Help maintain quality control to ensure food preparation meets the required standards. * Ensure that all food preparation areas, workstations, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly. * Assist in keeping the kitchen environment organized and hygienic.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous experience in a kitchen setting is advantageous but not mandatory. * Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles. * Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively in a fast-moving environment. * Strong teamwork and communication skills. * Good physical condition and the ability to handle tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods.
