Description
The Reservations Agent will efficiently handle guest and customer inquiries while maximizing revenue opportunities by managing reservations effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage guest reservations while adhering to brand standards. * Receive, record, and maintain customer dining reservations accurately in the system. * Stay informed about the restaurant’s menu, events, and special offerings. * Notify the Guest Relations Manager of any waitlists. * Ensure all customer calls are answered promptly without delays. * Maintain a clean and organized reservation area. * Uphold proper grooming and personal hygiene at all times. * Provide assistance to Hostesses/Hosts as needed. * Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing Manager to manage event-related tasks. * Deliver positive and professional service to exceed guests' expectations. * Address and resolve guest issues and complaints effectively. * Attend regular departmental briefings and contribute to open communication within the team. * Perform other relevant duties as assigned. * Interact with customers with a pleasant and service-oriented attitude. * Communicate professionally with the supervisor in charge.
Qualifications and Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a fine dining setting (not mandatory). * Proficiency in English, including a strong understanding of grammar, composition, and vocabulary. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Basic computer skills, with prior experience in restaurant software preferred. * Customer-focused with a positive attitude and a welcoming demeanor. * Strong active listening skills, with the ability to understand others, ask relevant questions, and engage without interruptions. * Friendly and approachable personality. * Cooperative and team-oriented mindset. * Ability to perform well under pressure. * High energy level with a positive outlook. * Willingness to go above and beyond to meet guest expectations. * A genuine passion for customer service and hospitality.
