Reservations Agent

A collection of upscale boutique hotels in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented Reservations professional. This role focuses on managing guest reservations, providing information, and maximizing revenue through effective sales practices. Responsibilities and Duties

* Manage all reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations received through various communication channels (phone, fax, email, etc.). * Ensure prompt responses to all guest communications, ideally within a 24-hour period. * Ascertain guest reservation requirements and recommend suitable room types, confirming availability and applicable rates. * Clearly articulate guarantee policies, special rate options, and cancellation procedures to guests. * Record and accommodate special requests from guests. * Address guest inquiries concerning hotel facilities, services, and room features. * Employ sales techniques to optimize revenue generation. * Accurately enter and retrieve data within the reservation system. * Classify specific room reservation categories (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by using the correct codes and rates in the system. * Adhere to established escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements

* A minimum of one year of experience in a comparable reservations role. * Proficiency in both written and spoken English. * Excellent communication skills, both via telephone and email.
