Restaurant Manager

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience for our guests. As a key leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining high service standards, and addressing customer needs with professionalism and efficiency. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and productive environment for both our team and our patrons.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the overall day-to-day operations in the dining hall, pantry, and stewarding sections. * Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and that excellent service is consistently delivered. * Prepare for and execute all special service or food requests for customers. * Handle customer feedback with composure, professionalism, and efficiency, resolving any issues and effectively recovering service. * Keep management and the Chef informed about food delays, customer complaints, and feedback. * Manage restaurant inventory levels and handle the purchasing of necessary items. * Oversee the restaurant environment, including scheduling and managing regular maintenance and upkeep, such as pest control and servicing. * Resolve any issues related to reservations and cashiering. * Manage restaurant petty cash disbursements and reimbursements. * Provide support by covering duties in any area of the restaurant as needed. * Create staff schedules to ensure adequate and effective manpower allocation for service. * Manage and train restaurant staff. * Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous experience as a Senior or Restaurant Manager, preferably in a Chinese restaurant setting. * Excellent personal presentation and strong interpersonal skills. * A confident, outgoing personality and a positive attitude. * Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high volume. * Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize responsibilities. * Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Chinese/Mandarin, to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking colleagues.
