Kitchen Assistant

Description

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Kitchen Assistant to support our cooking team with meal preparation and daily kitchen upkeep. This role involves hands-on work with ingredients and equipment, ensuring a clean and well-organized kitchen environment to maintain food quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Support the cook by preparing ingredients—washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meats *Reheat and stir soups, sauces, and other prepared items as needed *Clean and store all kitchen tools, utensils, appliances, and cutting boards *Organize and maintain stock in the kitchen, cold room, and storage area properly *Ensure all food supplies are stored safely and efficiently *Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the kitchen supervisor or management

Qualifications and Requirements

*Willingness to work split shifts, weekends, and on public holidays *Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic *Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team *Previous kitchen experience is a bonus, but not essential—training will be provided
