Chef De Partie (Western Cuisine)

Description

Join our team in a dynamic kitchen environment located in Dover, where you'll contribute to crafting delicious meals and maintaining a pristine workspace. This role offers a chance to be a key player in our daily culinary operations, working Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen spaces, including food processing equipment, cooking tools, and other light equipment. * Prepare and cook designated dishes according to the menu, including daily specials and promotional items. * Adhere to all corporate and government regulations regarding food hygiene and sanitation standards. * Operate cleaning equipment safely and report any malfunctions to management. * Collaborate with the Unit Manager and Sous Chef in menu and recipe planning, and participate in weekly service meetings to enhance service quality. * Record and monitor refrigerator temperatures and daily cooking core temperatures. * Ensure that all menu items are consistently available in service areas throughout service hours. * Provide oversight and direction to other kitchen staff and kitchen areas when the Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef is unavailable. * Complete any additional tasks as directed by the Sous Chef and Unit Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Ability to consistently maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation. * Proficiency in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes. * Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. * Capability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely. * Strong communication and collaboration skills for menu planning and service improvement. * Ability to accurately record and monitor temperature logs. * A proactive approach to ensuring menu item availability during service. * Leadership potential to oversee kitchen operations when needed. * Flexibility and willingness to perform additional tasks as assigned.
