Description

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing (or designated supervisor), the Sales Manager will support efforts to expand the Corporate/MICE and Leisure client base through consistent outreach, building trust and rapport with clients, and driving revenue growth for the hotel.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Manage a designated portfolio for the hotel, becoming an industry expert within the portfolio. * Align with the hotel’s business strategies, setting clear goals and developing action plans to achieve them. * Update action plans and financial objectives on a quarterly basis. * Sell various hotel offerings (F&B, Catering, Weddings) to meet diverse client needs. * Analyze current and potential markets/trends to increase revenue through business volume and higher guestroom rates. * Actively solicit new business to expand the client base, targeting market segments defined by the Director of Sales. * Conduct daily sales calls, site inspections, and entertainment to strengthen relationships with Corporate/MICE and Leisure clients. * Provide after-sales service, ensuring all guest feedback is reported to management and communicated to the relevant departments for resolution. * Respond promptly to business leads, maintaining a 24-hour follow-up timeline. * Collaborate with sales team members, engaging key customers and establishing multiple points of contact within client organizations. * Stay updated on market trends and identify new business development opportunities. * Partner with the Revenue Management Team to ensure rate negotiations meet the hotel’s financial goals. * Consistently provide high-quality service to clients. * Regularly assess accounts to ensure proper qualification. * Attend tradeshows, travel functions, and major business events as required by the Director of Sales/Marketing. * Responsible for achieving assigned sales targets within the market segment. * Prepare periodic sales reports tracking sales volume, potential, and areas for client base growth. * Take ownership of daily sales activities, optimizing productivity with weekly and monthly action plans. * Collaborate with assigned colleagues during absences and provide support as needed. * Cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. * Proficient in competitive set analysis and market intelligence.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management. * At least 5 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a luxury hotel, demonstrating a proven sales track record (preferred). * Relevant experience in managing Corporate, MICE, and Leisure segments. * Highly driven and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. * Strong influencing abilities and the capacity to effectively engage with both internal and external clients. * A collaborative team player, able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
