Sous Chef - All Day Dining

We are seeking a creative and driven culinary professional to join our team as a Sous Chef for our all-day dining operation. Responsibilities and Duties

* Assist in managing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow. * Contribute to the creation and refinement of menu items, focusing on innovative and high-quality culinary experiences. * Support the lead chef in managing the kitchen as a profitable unit, maximizing guest satisfaction. * Assist in planning, organizing, and directing kitchen activities and administrative tasks. * Ensure consistent adherence to the highest standards of food quality and presentation. * Mentor and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment. * Oversee inventory management and ensure efficient use of resources. * Maintain strict adherence to kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. * Assist in managing food costs and minimizing waste.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum of two years of experience as a Sous Chef, or four years as a Junior Sous Chef, in a high-standard hotel or restaurant. * Formal qualification in Kitchen Production or Management is a plus. * Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. * Basic proficiency in MS Office and recipe management systems. * Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team. * A proactive and positive "can-do" attitude, especially when facing challenges. * Ability to perform effectively under pressure. * Excellent communication and organizational skills.
