Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to play a key role in our kitchen. You will be instrumental in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality dishes, adhering to our restaurant's established standards. This role involves supporting the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing food preparation, and contributing to the overall success of our culinary team.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to your area of specialization. * Assist the Head Chef with kitchen scheduling and oversee the entire kitchen workflow. * Maintain consistently high standards of service. * Support the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations and preparation tasks. * Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods for regular service, special guests, and events. * Develop, design, or create innovative culinary applications, ideas, techniques, and presentations. * Assist in determining optimal food presentation and create appealing decorative food displays. * Adhere to and maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards. * Ensure strict compliance with all food handling and sanitation regulations. * Perform the duties of kitchen managers and other kitchen staff as needed. * Identify and recognize superior quality in ingredients, presentations, and flavors. * Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. * Follow proper handling procedures and maintain correct temperatures for all food products. * Operate and maintain all departmental equipment, and report any malfunctions promptly. * Check the quality of both raw and cooked food items to ensure they meet our standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

* High school diploma or GED, with 4 years of experience in a culinary, food and beverage, or related professional setting. * A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field, with 2 years of experience in a culinary, food and beverage, or related professional setting.
