Description
This leadership position is responsible for directing the sales team to achieve revenue targets and sales objectives within the electric vehicle market. This involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, overseeing sales operations, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and fostering growth in business-to-business and other corporate sales channels. The ideal candidate is a motivated and results-oriented leader with a strong understanding of the automotive industry and a demonstrable history of success in sales management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Formulate and implement sales strategies to ensure continuous business growth. - Develop sales projections and review sales strategies and activities to achieve revenue goals and maintain a competitive edge. - Establish and execute business plans, directing operations to meet annual sales and profitability targets. - Manage the sales department's operational and administrative functions, including budgeting, system requirements, and staffing for sales, reception, vehicle preparation, and delivery teams. - Determine training requirements for sales, reception, vehicle preparation, and delivery staff. - Conceive, implement, and assess the effectiveness of sales campaigns and action plans. - Ensure the retail environment is appropriately presented with suitable displays and demonstration vehicles. - Continuously evaluate and improve existing workflows, processes, and the customer experience to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. - Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to teams to meet client needs and job requirements, assisting the sales team in achieving individual sales quotas. - Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and ensure that performance targets are achieved. - Ensure consistent and accurate data entry and updates by the sales team within the client management system. - Ensure all planning, activities, tracking, and reporting are conducted accurately and promptly. - Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues related to sales. - Drive growth in corporate sales, encompassing business-to-business transactions, diplomatic sales, fleet sales, corporate programs, and government contracts. - Demonstrate proficiency in sales force management, account management, and analyzing the needs of existing corporate clients. - Support sales activities related to product information, pricing, and inventory management. - Manage product competitiveness, pricing strategies, specifications, and regulatory compliance. - Handle order processing, monitor shipments, and manage inventory levels. - Provide logistical support for vehicles used for events and training purposes. - Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification. - Preferably two to three years of experience in a managerial capacity within a comparable industry. - Strong business acumen and excellent problem-solving abilities. - A proven record of success with strong negotiation, interpersonal, leadership, and relationship-building skills. - A positive and proactive work ethic, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, resourcefulness, and a high level of dedication and motivation.
