Supervisor

Description

We are seeking a seasoned and highly capable M&E Supervisor with extensive hands-on experience in overseeing and executing mechanical and electrical works across various construction and maintenance projects in Lagos. You possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep practical understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire protection. Responsibilities and Duties

* Oversee and coordinate all mechanical and electrical activities at project locations. * Monitor daily site operations to ensure projects are progressing according to schedule, maintaining quality, and adhering to safety protocols specific to Lagos construction environments. * Lead and direct a team of technicians and subcontractors in the installation, upkeep, and repair of M&E systems. * Review and interpret M&E drawings and specifications to guarantee accurate execution of work on-site. * Address and resolve technical challenges and issues that arise during on-site work. * Plan and organize the necessary manpower and materials for project completion. * Ensure all work performed adheres to local building codes, regulations, and safety standards prevalent in Lagos. * Prepare comprehensive site reports, progress updates, and daily logs for project stakeholders. * Provide support during testing and commissioning phases of projects. * Coordinate inspections with relevant authorities and clients.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Extensive hands-on experience (ideally 12+ years) in managing, supervising, and executing mechanical and electrical works at construction and maintenance sites. * Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to effectively coordinate teams of technicians and subcontractors. * Deep practical knowledge and technical proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire protection systems. * Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to address technical issues on-site. * Ability to interpret and work according to M&E drawings, plans, and specifications. * Experience in planning and scheduling manpower and material requirements for projects. * Thorough understanding of and commitment to ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. * Proven track record of completing projects on time and within established quality standards. * Ability to work independently and manage site works effectively. * Strong communication and reporting skills to prepare site reports, progress updates, and daily logs. * Experience supporting testing and commissioning activities. * Ability to coordinate inspections with authorities and clients. * Strong technical background gained through practical on-site experience and relevant training.
