The Senior Sales Manager, reporting to the Director of Sales, is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing accounts within specific segments, as well as generating new business opportunities in the corporate travel and leisure sectors. This role focuses on maximizing the business potential of a designated portfolio through daily sales activities. The Senior Sales Manager will support the Director of Sales in expanding the hotel’s corporate, MICE, and leisure client base by implementing strategic plans aimed at driving measurable and incremental sales revenue to meet the revenue targets. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset to contribute to a successful hotel sales strategy. Responsibilities and Duties

Business Development * Identify business trends and marketing opportunities to enhance the performance of the various hotels and report findings to the Director of Sales and Marketing/Director of Sales. * Continuously seek new business opportunities to expand our client base, utilizing action plans focused on the corporate and travel market segments as directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing/Director of Sales. * Develop and maintain relationships with business partners, travel agents, airlines, and corporate accounts that are closely aligned with the hotel’s objectives. This includes prospecting and growing an account list, managing incoming leads, and closing sales. * Stay informed about sales strategies and goals to negotiate optimal room rates that benefit the hotels. Highlight the hotel's unique features to maximize revenue growth opportunities. Monitor existing business and share sales strategies during revenue meetings to maximize chances of achieving budget goals. * Plan, execute, and follow up on sales trips as approved. * Consistently practice professional account qualification, assessing budget needs, date flexibility, space requirements, and competitive information. * Attend tradeshows, travel functions, and major business events as required or directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing/Director of Sales. * Organize familiarization tours of hotels and their facilities for clients and potential clients. * Be responsible for achieving assigned sales targets in alignment with cluster segmentation. Collaborate closely with each salesperson to identify opportunities and strategies to maximize and exceed personal and team revenue goals. General * Assist in the development of the annual Business Plan, Hotel Budget, and Marketing Plan as requested by the Director of Sales. * Build strong client relationships through attention to detail, prompt follow-up, and understanding customer perceptions and needs while maintaining professionalism. * Prepare periodic sales reports that detail sales volume, potential sales, and areas for proposed client base expansion. * Take ownership of daily sales activities and maximize productivity by adhering to a system of weekly and monthly action plans. * Actively support the Credit Department in following up on overdue accounts. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing/Director of Sales as needed.
