Restaurant Captain/Supervisor

Description

A dedicated and versatile individual is needed to support the seamless operation of our dining establishment. This role focuses on ensuring high service standards, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the smooth and efficient service of the dining area. * Ensure consistently high standards are maintained. * Provide exceptional customer service at all times. * Strive to exceed the expectations of all guests. * Maintain the cleanliness and organization of both the front and back of house. * Accurately take guest orders and deliver items promptly. * Possess in-depth knowledge of the restaurant's menu. * Actively promote menu items through upselling. * Report any operational difficulties or problems to management. * Follow up on solutions and action plans with management. * Ensure all necessary preparations are completed to meet operational needs. * Clean and reset tables after each course. * Participate in training to enhance personal knowledge and skills. * Assist with monthly inventory checks of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Tourism Management is preferred. * Minimum of two years of experience as a Captain or Supervisor in the food and beverage industry. * Candidates with zero to one year of experience may be considered for a Food Runner position. * Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail. * A team player who values teamwork and possesses strong team-building skills. * Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels. * Personable and pleasant demeanor, with discretion, reliability, and diplomacy. * Positive, motivated, and passionate "can-do" attitude. * Eagerness to acquire multi-skilled training. * Excellent personal grooming and presentation. * High degree of integrity. * Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. * Opportunities for rapid career advancement. * Willingness to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays. * Immediate availability is preferred.
