Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. This role supports the Restaurant Manager in ensuring seamless service, operational efficiency, and a top-tier dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and can manage both front-of-house responsibilities and team development with confidence.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Create and manage staff duty rosters based on anticipated customer volume, especially during peak periods such as holidays and school breaks. *Monitor and maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant, ensuring it remains welcoming and well-organized. *Inspect utensils and equipment regularly, removing damaged items from circulation and arranging timely repairs for any faulty appliances or fixtures. *Collaborate closely with management to gather customer feedback on food and service, and assist in identifying high-performing menu items. *Mentor and guide junior team members, offering continuous support and on-the-job coaching to enhance performance. *Step in to take full leadership responsibilities during the Restaurant Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth operations. *Follow and enforce cleanliness and organizational practices aligned with the 5S workplace standards. *Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by senior leadership to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

*Previous experience in a similar supervisory or assistant managerial role within the food & beverage industry. *Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team. *Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, especially in maintaining cleanliness and service standards. *Comfortable handling multitasking duties in a dynamic and high-pressure environment. *Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, and shift work. *Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences. *Familiarity with operational and hygiene standards (e.g., 5S methodology) is an added advantage.
