Sous Chef

This role focuses on producing high-quality menu items, maintaining stringent hygiene standards, and working collaboratively within a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare all menu items to the establishment's standards, ensuring customer satisfaction. * Maintain exceptional hygiene and adhere to all health and safety regulations. * Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards to senior staff promptly. * Implement strict control over food waste and report any waste according to established procedures. * Ensure proper stock rotation, utilizing food products before their expiration dates. * Adhere to precise portion controls to maintain consistency. * Consistently produce and present food to the highest standards, following performance manuals and recipes. * Clean and sanitize work surfaces, refrigeration units, and storage areas before the end of each shift. * Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, including wearing appropriate protective clothing. * Foster a positive and professional working relationship with all team members. * Ensure the kitchen is secure, clean, and safe before leaving at the end of a shift. * Produce recipes and costing information in collaboration with the Head Chef to maintain profit margins. * Attend all required team briefings. * Participate in monthly physical stock takes of restaurant inventory, including plates and utensils.
