Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare and present menu selections with creativity and attention to detail. * Implement and maintain strict stock rotation practices to minimize waste. * Ensure all necessary preparatory tasks ("mise en place") are completed and readily available. * Verify the proper storage of all cooked and pre-cooked food items. * Order food supplies based on anticipated business needs. * Collaborate with the lead chef for order guidance and approval. * Communicate with front-of-house staff regarding menu availability, additions, and updates. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly serviced and cleaned. * Become familiar with various kitchen stations to provide assistance when needed. * Assist and collaborate with the chef on duty as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Possession of a Professional Certificate, NITEC, or Diploma in culinary arts. * Experience in pastry preparation is a plus. * A minimum of three years of relevant experience in hospitality, hotel, or food and beverage culinary operations. * A valid food hygiene certificate is required. * The desire to work as part of a team. * The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
