Description
The Reservations Manager, reporting to the Cluster Director of Revenue Management, is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Reservations office, ensuring a smooth and exceptional experience for guests. This role also involves handling all general inquiries related to the hotel.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Maintain knowledge of all food & beverage services, hotel facilities, and services to effectively promote products. * Implement revenue management strategies and upsell hotel amenities to maximize revenue. * Assess guest needs and recommend suitable rooms and rates. * Oversee reservations operations to ensure excellent guest experiences and meet financial targets. * Ensure timely and accurate communication with all departments. * Foster collaboration between Front Office and Reservations to improve guest arrivals. * Enforce check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining operational efficiency. * Respond to emails promptly, ensuring guest confidentiality. * Promote internal sales and upsell hotel facilities. * Ensure systems are fully functional and optimized for performance. * Maximize room occupancy and profitability. * Drive excellent guest experiences through seamless booking processes. * Handle inquiries and provide information on hotel services via phone and email. * Lead, coach, and train the reservations team. * Conduct performance reviews and training for the team. * Adhere to safety protocols and report incidents. * Participate in CSR and Sustainability initiatives. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field. * At least 3 years of experience in a managerial reservations role. * Strong business acumen with critical thinking and strategic decision-making abilities. * Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning skills. * Exceptional interpersonal and influencing abilities. * Strong verbal and written communication, planning, and coordination skills. * Capable of working independently and taking initiative. * Excellent time management skills. * In-depth knowledge of Opera Cloud.
