Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile culinary expert with extensive knowledge in preparing a wide array of dishes, spanning South Indian breakfast staples, diverse vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, flavorful rice preparations, North Indian favorites, Chinese cuisine, delectable snacks, comforting soups, traditional sweets, and Tandoori specialties. This role requires a candidate with a passion for authentic flavors and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality meals. Availability to work on weekends and public holidays is essential.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Prepare a comprehensive menu of breakfast items including various idlis, dosas, pooris, pongal, chapathi, upma, paratha, kichadi, and egg dishes, accompanied by sambar and a selection of chutneys. * Create a variety of vegetarian main courses, including different types of sambar, flavorful kozhambus, dahi curry, vathal kozhambu, and an assortment of rasams and poriyals. * Prepare diverse vegetable dishes featuring pumpkins, snake gourd, spinach, and regional specialties like Kadai veg and Chettinadu masala, as well as classics like avial. * Cook an array of rice dishes, including flavored rices (tomato, lemon, tamarind, coriander), sambar rice, curd rice, and ghee rice. * Prepare popular North Indian dishes such as palak paneer, paneer butter masala, and kadai paneer. * Prepare Chinese staples including fried rice and noodles. * Produce a selection of Indian pickles, including garlic, mixed vegetable, ginger, lemon, tomato, and mango. * Cook a range of non-vegetarian dishes featuring fish (curry, fry, tawa, Kerala style, Tamil Nadu style), chicken (various curries, fry, butter chicken, lollipops, Chettinadu, pepper, kadai, garlic, kuruma, palak, dry), and mutton (masala, pepper, curry, kuruma, kadai). * Prepare seafood dishes including prawn masala, prawn fry, crab masala, crab curry, and dry fish curry. * Prepare Chinese non-vegetarian dishes such as Chicken-65, chilli chicken, chicken fried rice, and chicken noodles. * Prepare a variety of biryanis and pulaos, including vegetarian, green peas, mushroom, Kashmiri, chicken (regular and fry), Hyderabadi, mutton, fish, and prawn. * Create a selection of savory snacks such as samosa, cutlet, channa bhatura, various types of vada and pakoda, bonda, and bajji. * Prepare a range of soups including tomato, clear vegetable, cream of vegetable, clear chicken, cream of chicken, sweet corn (chicken and vegetable), egg, mushroom, spinach, and mulaguthani. * Prepare a variety of traditional Indian sweets such as laddu, gulab jamun, kesari, different types of payasam (including paal payasam, banana pongal), sweet pongal, mysore pak (or rava laddoo), rava kesari, kaju mysore pak, carrot and cashew payassam, chana dal and coconut laddu, coconut milk and rose custard, and rice kheer. * Prepare Tandoori items including various types of naan and roti, tandoori chicken, chicken kabab, vegetable kabab, chicken tikka, and paneer tikka. * Prepare various types of fresh salads. * Work on weekends and public holidays as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Extensive and demonstrable experience in preparing all the listed recipes and cuisines. * Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays. * Strong knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles across the specified cuisines. * Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food preparation. * Good organizational and time-management skills to handle a diverse menu. * Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a kitchen environment. * Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. * Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
