Responsibilities and Duties

* Conduct daily briefings for kitchen staff in the absence of senior chefs. * Direct and supervise all junior kitchen personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks and fulfillment of guest needs. * Ensure all necessary checklists and temperature logs are accurately completed. * Maintain cleanliness and proper stock rotation in all refrigeration units to minimize waste. * Continuously strive to improve food preparation and presentation techniques. * Support senior team members in maintaining consistent food quality. * Conduct regular on-the-job training sessions for culinary team members. * Communicate daily with outlet chefs to maintain open dialogue regarding guest feedback. * Perform daily quality checks of all prepared ingredients to ensure freshness and adherence to standards. * Support, coach, lead, and motivate fellow kitchen colleagues. * Ensure accuracy of storeroom requisitions to minimize unnecessary trips. * Ensure all kitchen staff are aware of performance standards and expectations. * Verify that all junior employees report to work on time and adhere to grooming standards. * Maintain a thorough understanding of all health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

* At least two to three years of relevant culinary experience in a supervisory role. * Ability to adapt to changing operational needs and requirements. * A genuine passion for food preparation and culinary arts. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to motivate a team. * Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. * Knowledge of food safety and temperature control procedures.
