Description

A food and beverage group is seeking a Head Chef with expertise in traditional and contemporary cuisine across vegetarian, non-vegetarian, tandoor, baked goods, and regional specialties. The role involves managing food preparation, overseeing hygiene and safety standards, coordinating kitchen staff, and designing menus for daily service and special events. Responsibilities and Duties

* Inspect preparation and service areas to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene practices * Prepare and supervise a wide range of dishes including breakfast, vegetarian, non-vegetarian, seafood, rice varieties, breads, biryani, snacks, soups, desserts, and salads * Wash, peel, cut, and prepare fruits and vegetables * Estimate food consumption, requisition supplies, and manage inventory * Carve, trim, and prepare meat and seafood for cooking and service * Supervise, coordinate, and train kitchen staff * Plan menus considering cost control and special event requirements * Bake breads, rolls, cakes, pastries, and prepare relishes and hors d’oeuvres * Maintain consistency and quality across all food categories

Qualifications and Requirements

* At least 5 years of professional culinary experience * Expertise in a wide range of traditional and modern dishes * Strong knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen operations * Ability to manage staff and coordinate large-scale preparation * Skilled in butchery, tandoor, and bakery operations * Creativity in menu development and food presentation
