Description

Ensure all food meets the highest quality standards and is served on time.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Plan menus and design plating presentation for each dish. - Coordinate and assist kitchen staff as required. - Hire and train staff to prepare and cook all menu items. - Perform stocktaking of ingredients and equipment and place orders as needed. - Enforce best practices for kitchen safety and sanitation. - Create new recipes to regularly update the menu. - Monitor industry trends and incorporate feedback from staff and patrons to improve offerings. - Manage inventories and stocktaking efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Culinary school qualification. - Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position. - In-depth knowledge of food principles and best practices. - Passion for creating high-quality, attractive dishes. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Ability to thrive under high-pressure environments. - Creative and innovative thinking. - High standards for cleanliness, health, and safety. - Availability for on-call, shift work, after hours, weekends, and holidays.
