Responsibilities and Duties

* Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, including overseeing food preparation, plating, and presentation, to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to high standards. * Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative team spirit and maintaining a positive and productive work atmosphere. * Supervise the ordering, storage, and inventory management of all ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality while effectively controlling costs. * Work closely with the Executive Chef in the creation and updating of menus, incorporating seasonal produce and considering customer preferences. * Ensure that all health, safety, and sanitation regulations are strictly followed in every aspect of food preparation and kitchen procedures. * Monitor and manage kitchen expenditures, including food costs and minimizing waste, to contribute to the overall profitability.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Extensive experience and proven expertise in professional cooking. * Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a kitchen team. * Thorough knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory control and cost management. * Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Creative culinary skills with a passion for food and presentation. * Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * A culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is often preferred.
