Responsibilities and Duties

* Culinary Preparation: Prepare ingredients and meals according to recipes, including slicing, cutting, cooking (grilling, frying), and plating. * Quality & Safety: Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Maintain temperature and HACCP logs, and ensure all food items are properly dated, labeled, and rotated. * Team Leadership: Supervise and assist a team to ensure kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy. Ensure all food and health and safety regulations are followed. * Menu Development: Contribute to new menu items and improvise existing ones in collaboration with management. * Cost Control: Maintain and manage kitchen expenses, food costs, and inventory within budgetary limits. * Customer Service: Handle customer complaints and suggestions, implementing solutions and referring complex concerns to a supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a culinary role. * Strong knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, including HACCP. * Proven ability to supervise and lead a team effectively. * Strong organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. * Ability to handle customer complaints and contribute to service quality improvement. * Willingness to work in shift work schedules.
