Reservation and Ticketing Officer

Description

This full-time position, located in a central business district, focuses on managing flight reservations, ticketing, and sales, as well as providing customer service to travel agents, individual travelers, and frequent flyer program members. The role involves monitoring flight inventory, handling post-sales service, and responding to inquiries via various communication channels. The position offers a competitive salary and begins with a probationary period.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Manage reservations, ad-hoc and group bookings, ticketing, and generate sales reports. * Perform post-sales service tasks, such as schedule changes, rebookings, rerouting, ticket re-issuance, and refunds. * Monitor and control flight inventory, including conducting advance booking checks, time-to-live (TTL) checks, and screening for invalid bookings. * Respond to inquiries from travel agents, individual travelers, and frequent flyer program members regarding the organization's products, rules, and policies via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Completion of IATA Fares & Ticketing I & II or an equivalent qualification. * Working knowledge of major Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and Central Reservation Systems (CRS), with familiarity with a specific system being advantageous. * Proficiency in standard office software applications. * Prior experience in airline reservations and ticketing is a plus. * Proven interpersonal and customer service skills. * Minimum of a vocational training institute, junior college, or polytechnic level education.
