Description
We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual to lead and develop our service team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness, and driving team performance to maximize sales and profitability. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for creating a positive and efficient dining environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Guide and train service staff on a daily basis, fostering their professional development. * Manage the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. * Coordinate team activities, product handling, and equipment usage to optimize sales and profit. * Assign tasks and roles to service staff, ensuring efficient teamwork. * Prepare the restaurant for service, reviewing staffing schedules and readiness. * Manage customer flow and optimize seating arrangements. * Supervise service delivery, ensuring adherence to quality, service, cleanliness, and value standards, and address any service shortcomings. * Handle cash floats, audit rolls, and troubleshoot cash register issues. * Maintain accurate records of cash shortages and surpluses, and reconcile payment collections. * Serve as the primary point of contact for service staff regarding operational issues. * Resolve daily operational challenges, providing necessary support to the service team. * Investigate and resolve complex customer complaints and feedback promptly and effectively. * Enforce restaurant quality, service, cleanliness, and value standards. * Monitor operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures and guidelines. * Implement corrective actions to address safety and compliance issues. * Conduct onboarding for new hires, providing essential training and information. * Facilitate staff training to encourage role rotation and skill development. * Train and monitor staff adherence to standard operating procedures. * Ensure a safe and secure work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant setting. * Strong leadership and team management abilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to resolve customer issues effectively. * Knowledge of restaurant operations and service standards. * Proficiency in handling cash and managing financial transactions. * Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. * Ability to train and develop staff. * Ability to problem solve efficiently.
