Responsibilities and Duties

Beyond The Vines is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Singapore, with a physical and online retail presence in Singapore and the region. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to join our team. Working closely with the Retail team, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience on the retail store front. Responsibilities include: Culture - Work with the People Operations team to recruit, onboard, train and retain a highperforming retail team of full-time and part-time Brand Insiders, in line with the store’s manpower and seasonal hiring needs, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed. - Recognise and resolve performance issues within the store, communicating high priority issues to Management in a timely manner and collaborate to develop plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks. - Work with the Retail Management and People Operations teams in developing and conducting adequate service training for all Brand Insiders, educating them on the adequate service language and standards that will enable them to provide the highest standard of customer service. - Improve store performance and engagement by recognizing and rewarding crew members for their outstanding performance, and proactively conducting review sessions with new and/or lower-performing team members. Service - Actively seek to improve the customer experience at the stores by ensuring service standards are met and maintained, ensuring that the Company’s culture is consistently communicated to customers, in line with the Company’s service language and tone of voice. - Work closely with HQ teams to initiate and implement community engagement projects such as store activations and initiatives to build brand love and loyalty on the retail front. Operations - Work with the Retail management team in managing the day-to-day store operations. - Oversee general store administration and ensure compliance with Company policies and SOPs. - Collaborate closely with all other functional teams particularly in Supply Chain, Community Engagement, and Visual Merchandising in both the day-to-day operations and event-specific operations, such as new store openings and launch events. - Develop, improve, and optimise retail processes to ensure efficiency of all daily store operational procedures. - Supervise the efficient and productive handling of all merchandise including shipment receipt and processing, customer returns, product defects, and stock transfers, while maintaining stockroom tidiness and standards. - Work with the Supply Chain team in conducting regular stock taking exercises at several intervals in the year, or as and when required, ensuring the highest level of inventory accuracy by monitoring inventory levels and ordering restocks as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Requirements include: - Minimally 5-6 years of experience in retail store management for similar fashion/lifestyle/e-commerce brands with a global presence. - Willing to work a variety of shifts, including weekends/public holidays where required. - Confident in developing and leading a team of full-time and part-time retail crew. - Emphasis and belief in strong customer service and experience. - Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and address business information (e.g., profit and loss statements, budgets and sales forecasts, retail strategy). - A strong, clear, and concise communicator who is able to lead, mentor, and coach a team. - Keen understanding and interest in fashion/lifestyle trends and brands. - Self-motivated, with a strong drive for achievement. - Love our brand!
