Housekeeping Supervisor

Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and directs the daily operations of the assigned area, ensuring that Room Attendants and other team members complete their tasks effectively. This role includes ensuring staff are knowledgeable about in-house facilities to assist guests, maintaining high standards of dress, hygiene, and conduct, and inspecting rooms daily to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of furnishings, facilities, and equipment. The Supervisor is responsible for addressing guest requests, enforcing company policies and procedures, and ensuring that housekeeping operations, including lost and found, key control, and emergency procedures, are followed. Additionally, they manage inventory and ensure that all necessary tools and supplies are available for smooth operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Oversees work assignments for Room Attendants and other staff in the designated area. Ensures Housekeeping staff are well-informed about in-house facilities to assist guests effectively. Upholds high standards of dress code, hygiene, uniform, appearance, posture, and conduct for all Housekeeping personnel. Conducts daily inspections of rooms in the assigned area to ensure cleanliness and proper condition of furnishings, facilities, and equipment. Ensures that guest requests are fulfilled, and that company policies and procedures are consistently followed. Monitors Housekeeping tasks including lost and found, key control, security, and emergency protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of both staff and guests. Ensures the availability and maintenance of necessary tools, supplies, and equipment for smooth daily operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum diploma in a relevant field. At least 1 year of experience in Housekeeping. Strong knowledge of Housekeeping operations and cleaning techniques. Good command of English, both written and spoken. Detail-oriented with a pleasant personality and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
