Room Attendant

Description

The Room Attendant carries out regular cleaning and servicing tasks for guest rooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor. They play a key role in promoting a positive image of the property to guests by maintaining a pleasant, honest, and friendly demeanor while addressing guest requests and resolving any issues that arise.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Clean guest bathrooms and bedrooms. * Replenish guestroom and bath supplies according to operational standards. * Ensure room amenities are restocked as per the guidelines. * Maintain the security and privacy of guest rooms. * Perform detailed cleaning tasks with attention to all areas. * Anticipate and promptly respond to guest needs, offering acknowledgment at all times of day. * Uphold positive guest relations at all times. * Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. * Inspect linens and replace any soiled or damaged items. * Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned work areas. * Report any room defects, damage, or loss of hotel supplies. * Report lost and found items left in checked-out rooms. * Update room status on the assignment sheet and PMS using the room telephone. * Restock and return the cleaning cart at the end of the shift. * Ensure the trolley is maintained in good condition. * Attend Housekeeping briefings regularly.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Adhere to the attendance requirements of the role and comply with departmental and company policies. * A cooperative team member who proactively offers assistance to others when needed. * Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor. * Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays. * Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
