DEMI CHEF / COMMIS CHEF

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our kitchen team and contribute to the efficient flow of our culinary operations. This role involves working collaboratively to ensure smooth service, assisting in menu preparation, maintaining well-stocked workstations, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, contribute creative ideas, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Collaborate with kitchen colleagues on the development of menu offerings. * Ensure that all cooking stations have sufficient and readily available supplies. * Prepare frequently used ingredients, such as vegetables and spices, in a timely manner. * Follow the direction of senior chefs (Executive or Sous Chef) and offer suggestions for innovative dish presentations or new recipes. * Focus on improving the cooking process with an emphasis on both speed and maintaining high quality. * Strictly adhere to and enforce all health and hygiene regulations within the kitchen. * Contribute to a positive and cooperative atmosphere among team members.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Demonstrated experience as a Demi Chef, Commis Chef, or in a similar kitchen role. * Solid culinary abilities and a passion for food preparation. * Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen setting. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed. * Possession of a basic food hygiene certification.
