Description

The organization is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support Chinese restaurant operations. The role involves assisting the Restaurant Manager in leading the team, ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and achieving revenue and profitability targets while upholding service standards. Responsibilities and Duties

- Review daily logbook and prepare reports on incidents and guest feedback. - Oversee weekly duty rosters, staff scheduling, and leave administration. - Ensure restaurant equipment and supplies are well-maintained and available at all times. - Maintain effective communication with the kitchen operations team. - Oversee the reservation system to maximize seating capacity. - Collaborate with the Chef and F&B leadership on menus, promotions, and action plans. - Conduct market surveys and competitor analysis to support business strategy. - Prepare forecasts, training reports, and operating equipment inventories. - Approve purchase requisitions and report deficiencies or equipment breakage. - Monitor inventory utilization and highlight slow-moving items. - Lead daily briefings and ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and grooming. - Conduct annual staff appraisals, delegate responsibilities, and motivate team members. - Recognize and reward deserving staff to maintain morale and performance. - Support the hotel’s environmental management and sustainability efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Food & Beverage Services Management, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, or equivalent. - Minimum 3 years of relevant managerial experience in F&B or hospitality. - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. - Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking guests and associates. - Willingness to work split shifts, rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
