Description
We are hiring a Sous Chef to join a modern European bistro in Tiong Bahru known for bold, seasonal, and gluten-free cuisine. The role involves supporting the Head Chef in daily operations, leading mise en place and plating, and collaborating on menu innovation. EA License Number: 22C1267 EA Personnel: R22110252
Responsibilities and Duties
* Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations and service execution * Lead mise en place, preparation, and plating with consistency and precision * Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier coordination * Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in the kitchen * Mentor and guide junior chefs to develop their skills * Collaborate on seasonal menu innovation and research & development
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of culinary experience with prior leadership exposure * Strong background in modern European or contemporary bistro cuisine * Experience with gluten-free or fermentation techniques is a plus * Excellent teamwork, organization, and attention to detail * Calm under pressure with passion for flavor-driven cooking
