Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled culinary professional to prepare delicious meals and contribute to a positive dining experience for our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, from meticulously preparing ingredients to expertly cooking and presenting dishes. You will also play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment and contributing to menu innovation.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare ingredients according to recipes, involving tasks such as slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing. * Season ingredients appropriately and verify the taste before plating meals. * Complete hot meal preparation using various cooking methods like grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling. * Assemble and refrigerate cold ingredients as required. * Strictly adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines. * Maintain accurate temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs. * Ensure proper dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items. * Collaborate with the supervisor to contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus. * Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, food storage areas, and work surfaces. * Complete cleaning tasks according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing and pot washing. * Listen attentively to customer feedback and suggestions, resolving complaints within your scope and escalating complex issues to the supervisor. * Participate in and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving service quality and employee productivity. * Keep work areas, utensils, and equipment clean and organized. * Develop innovative new menu items while enhancing existing recipes. * Manage kitchen expenses, food costs, inventory, and staffing within budget constraints. * Assist with the preparation and serving of all meals to customers. * Supervise a team to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and service areas. * Ensure strict compliance with all food, health, and safety regulations. * Must be able to cook North Indian food. * Must be available for shift work.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proven experience in food preparation and various cooking techniques. * A strong understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, including HACCP. * Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently. * Excellent knife skills and proficiency in preparing a variety of ingredients. * Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute to menu development. * Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage tasks effectively. * Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. * Good communication and problem-solving skills to address customer feedback. * Ability to manage kitchen resources effectively, including costs and inventory. * Demonstrated ability to cook North Indian cuisine. * Flexibility to work in shifts. * Experience in supervising a team and ensuring adherence to regulations.
