Description
Prepare authentic Indian curries and manage the tandoor section (naan, tandoori meats, kebabs).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure consistency and quality in all Indian dishes. - Coordinate with the kitchen team for timely food preparation and service. - Minimize food wastage and manage inventory efficiently. - Assist in creating new Indian dishes and seasonal menus. - Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques. - Comply strictly with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards. - Maintain proper use and care of tandoor equipment and cooking tools. - Assist in other kitchen sections as needed. - Attend training sessions or meetings as scheduled. - Perform other duties as assigned by Head Chef or Management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Indian curry and tandoor cooking. - Strong understanding of Indian spices, herbs, and traditional cooking methods. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
