Join a team dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meals to students in an international school setting. You'll contribute to the daily preparation of a diverse menu, working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Food Preparation and Execution: - Assist in preparing a variety of hot lunches, sandwiches, deli items, and other menu offerings. - Prepare ingredients, including peeling, cutting, and washing fruits, vegetables, and seasoning meats. - Assemble ingredients and equipment for daily menu preparation. - Use ingredients and equipment efficiently to minimize waste. - Follow recipes and portion guidelines. - Kitchen Maintenance and Hygiene: - Clean and sanitize work areas at the beginning and end of each shift. - Ensure utensils and equipment are clean, functional, and ready for use. - Assist with maintaining inventory and supplies. - Follow daily standard operating procedures for HACCP, food hygiene, and sanitation. - Operational Support: - Assist with inventory records and supply management. - Assist with any additional tasks assigned by supervisors. - Compliance and Safety: - Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and allergen guidelines. - Follow workplace safety and health protocols for kitchen operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Experience: - Previous experience in catering, cafeterias, or high-volume food production is preferred. - Knowledge and Skills: - Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management. - Understanding of HACCP principles. - Experience with hot and cold kitchen preparation and cooking. - Understanding of workplace safety and health in kitchen environments. - Basic budgeting, cost control, and inventory management skills. - Ability to multitask, manage changing priorities, and work independently or as part of a team. - Attentive, meticulous, and problem-solving abilities. - Basic computer competency. - Personal Attributes: - Initiative and attention to detail. - Positive, self-motivated, and energetic demeanor. - Professional appearance and attitude. - Ability to work effectively with diverse teams. - Ability to follow directions. - Work Requirements: - Ability to work daytime hours, with most weekends off. - Flexibility to take optional extended unpaid leave during school holidays.
