Description
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in leading the kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards in Italian food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations. This role is ideal for an aspiring chef who is serious about their craft and ready to take their culinary career to the next level.
Responsibilities and Duties
*Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and ingredient sourcing. *Prepare and cook a diverse range of authentic Italian dishes, ensuring quality and consistency. *Supervise junior staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during assigned shifts. *Train, mentor, and guide team members to improve their culinary skills. *Monitor food storage, stock rotation, and ensure hygiene standards are met. *Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations. *Manage inventory and assist with ordering and stock control. *Address special requests or customer concerns with professionalism.
Qualifications and Requirements
*Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent. *Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with exposure to Italian cuisine. *Strong leadership skills and a team-first attitude. *Passionate about food quality, presentation, and innovation. *Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. *Solid understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety protocols.
