Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Service Crew Members to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our patrons. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, accurately taking and serving orders, handling transactions, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and supporting food preparation activities. You will play a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our establishment.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, striving to create a positive and memorable dining experience. * Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are captured correctly. * Provide knowledgeable and helpful responses to customer inquiries about menu items, offering recommendations and guidance as needed. * Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, professionally, and with a focus on finding satisfactory resolutions. * Accurately handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems with efficiency and attention to detail. * Serve food and beverages to customers promptly and courteously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. * Ensure all food is prepared and served according to established quality standards and presentation guidelines. * Maintain awareness of and adhere to proper serving temperatures and portion control measures. * Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing, chopping, and preparing ingredients, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen. * Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic environment in both the dining and kitchen areas, adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols. * Clear tables promptly after customers have finished their meals and sanitize surfaces to ensure a safe and pleasant dining environment. * Strictly adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with health regulations. * Assist with setting tables and ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available. * Follow work schedules and rotations as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and reliability. * Perform other related duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall operational needs of the establishment.
Qualifications and Requirements
* **Prior Experience:** Possess a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience as a service crew member, specifically within an **Indian Restaurant**. This experience is critical, as you must be able to confidently and accurately explain North and South Indian dishes to customers. * **Physical Fitness:** Be physically fit and capable of serving food and beverages across two levels/floors of the establishment. While support staff will be available, a good level of health and mobility is necessary for efficient movement. * **Proactive Approach:** Demonstrate a proactive work ethic, taking initiative and executing tasks without constant direct supervision. * **Communication Skills:** Possess strong verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to converse clearly and effectively with both customers and colleagues. * **Food Safety Certification:** Hold a valid Food Handler Certification from the relevant local authority (e.g., SFA if applicable to the region). * A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service and creating a positive dining experience. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment. * A positive attitude, reliability, and punctuality. * Willingness to learn and adapt to the specific menu and service standards of the establishment.
