Description

We’re looking for a dedicated and versatile cook to join our kitchen team, capable of handling a wide range of food preparation tasks with attention to detail, food safety, and creativity. This role requires hands-on experience in North Indian cuisine, multitasking under pressure, and maintaining high standards in food quality and kitchen cleanliness.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Prepare ingredients as per recipes: slice, chop, stir, whip, and mix, ensuring precise measurements and seasoning for great taste *Cook hot dishes through grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, or broiling; handle cold dish prep as needed *Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures, including proper temperature logs and food labeling *Assist in planning daily, festive, and themed menu options with kitchen supervisors *Keep the kitchen, food prep stations, and storage areas clean and well-sanitized *Execute daily and weekly cleaning routines, including dishwashing and equipment sanitizing *Respond to customer feedback and complaints professionally, resolving issues where possible or escalating when needed *Participate in team initiatives to boost service quality and kitchen productivity *Help design new menu offerings and enhance current recipes *Monitor kitchen inventory, control food costs, and maintain operations within the set budget *Support in meal service and assist with plating and presentation *Oversee a small team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and clean workspaces *Maintain compliance with all food safety and health regulations *Adapt to different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Qualifications and Requirements

*Proven experience preparing and cooking North Indian cuisine *Good understanding of food hygiene and safety protocols *Ability to supervise and coordinate a team in a busy kitchen *Creative mindset with a flair for improving and creating recipes *Strong organizational and multitasking skills *Comfortable with shift work and fast-paced environments *Proactive and team-oriented with a positive attitude
