Description
The Senior Finance Executive will manage the full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, banking), prepare monthly financial schedules, and support internal and external audits. Key duties include budget preparation, monitoring expenditures, handling GST returns, and managing cashflow and investments. The role ensures compliance with finance policies, regulatory guidelines, and corporate governance standards. The Executive will liaise with auditors, external parties, and assist in Board meetings. Additionally, the role involves ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee the full set of accounts, including AP, AR, fixed assets, GL, and banking transactions, ensuring timely preparation of monthly financial schedules and reports for management and Board review. Support internal and external audits throughout their full cycle. Prepare the annual budget, conduct mid-year budget reviews, and track actual expenses against the budget. Prepare and submit GST returns and any other necessary statutory filings. Manage cash flow, including investment accounting and reporting. Ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures. Liaise with both external and internal auditors, corporate secretarial agents, and other relevant external parties such as financial institutions. Provide support for sub-committees and Board meetings, including preparing presentations and minutes. Participate in ad-hoc projects, including process improvements. Follow company policies (including PDPA and staff-related) and procedures, ensuring duties are performed with professionalism, confidentiality, and in alignment with service level expectations and governance standards. Perform other duties as required to meet business objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
ACCA/CPA or a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience supervising Finance Executives. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Solid understanding of IFRS and financial regulations. A proactive team player with the ability to work independently and a strong commitment to completing tasks and projects.
