Responsibilities and Duties

* Prepare all menu items according to the café / bistro's high standards of quality and established recipes. * Maintain impeccable hygiene standards by ensuring all cooking equipment is clean and properly stored. * Assist in managing the inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment. * Adhere to all nutrition and sanitation regulations as mandated by government guidelines. * Foster positive and collaborative working relationships with the front-of-house and retail teams. * Undertake any other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Experience in the safe and effective use of various cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware. * Knowledge of diverse cooking procedures and methods, including grilling, baking, and boiling. * Possession of a valid food hygiene and safety certification. * Highly responsible and reliable in fulfilling job duties. * Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. * Capacity to work collaboratively and positively with fellow team members. * Availability to work on weekends and public holidays, following a 5-day roster.
