Description

We are seeking a dynamic Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of the store. You will be responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling staff, while motivating them during busy shifts. The role includes managing customer complaints, ordering stock, and maintaining monthly budgets. You will also be in charge of preparing staff payslips and ensuring that monthly and annual sales targets are met. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction and sales performance.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Recruit and Train Staff: Oversee the hiring process, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates. Provide comprehensive training to new staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. * Staff Scheduling: Effectively assign shifts to ensure optimal coverage, balancing the needs of the store with employee availability. * Motivate and Support Team: Inspire and motivate staff members, especially during peak hours, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment while encouraging high performance. * Handle Customer Complaints: Actively listen to customer feedback and complaints, responding promptly and professionally to resolve any issues and maintain customer satisfaction. * Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders to maintain adequate inventory, and ensure timely restocking of products to meet customer demand. * Budget Creation and Management: Develop and manage monthly budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled. * Payroll Administration: Prepare and distribute accurate payslips for all staff members, ensuring timely and accurate compensation. * Achieve Sales Targets: Drive store performance by meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales targets through effective leadership, product promotion, and customer engagement.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous Retail Experience: Demonstrated experience in a retail environment, with a solid understanding of sales, customer service, and store operations. * Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, staff, and management through effective communication and approachability. * Leadership Abilities: Natural leader with the capability to guide, motivate, and inspire team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. * Multitasking Skills: Skilled at handling multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail even during busy periods. * Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Committed to delivering outstanding customer service, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
