R&D Chef / Sous Chef

Description

We are seeking a creative and forward-thinking culinary enthusiast to join our team and drive innovation in product application through the development of exciting new recipes aligned with market trends. This role requires experience across diverse cuisines and a passion for food product development. The successful candidate will be adept at food presentation, conducting demonstrations, and collaborating with various internal teams to bring new and improved recipes to life. This position also involves conducting tastings, providing client training and support, and contributing to visual content creation.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Create imaginative and trend-setting recipes for product application. * Apply experience across various culinary styles and in the development of food products. * Present and demonstrate food preparations effectively to clients and online audiences. * Collaborate closely with different departments on the creation and launch of new or enhanced recipes. * Conduct food and product tasting sessions, sensory evaluations, and training sessions. * Provide training, service recovery, and troubleshooting support to clients, both on-site and in a demonstration kitchen setting. * Develop creative food presentations for photoshoots and videos. * Set up, manage, and maintain the demonstration kitchen as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Possess a recognized culinary qualification or equivalent, with at least one year of culinary experience preferred. * Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and presentation skills for product demonstrations. * Exhibit strong teamwork and interpersonal communication abilities. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.). * Willingness to travel to different locations when necessary. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Willingness to work a 5-day week plus two Saturdays (with specified hours, subject to change based on work needs). * Open to considering recent graduates. * Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. * Willingness to undertake other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned. * Flexibility regarding job scope, workdays, and work hours based on operational requirements.
