Assistant Restaurant Manager

Description

This position offers an opportunity to support the restaurant management team in ensuring smooth daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. You'll be responsible for a variety of administrative and operational tasks, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Procurement and Inventory: - Research and negotiate prices with new wholesale food suppliers. - Calculate future kitchenware and equipment needs and place orders. - Manage and store vendor contracts and invoices. - Operational Coordination and Staff Management: - Coordinate communication between front-of-house and back-of-house staff. - Prepare staff shift schedules. - Process payroll for all restaurant staff. - Supervise kitchen and wait staff, providing assistance as needed. - Arrange for new employee onboarding, including scheduling training and ordering uniforms. - Financial and Administrative Tasks: - Keep detailed records of daily, weekly, and monthly costs and revenues. - Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations. - Customer Service and Feedback: - Gather guest feedback and suggest menu improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Experience: - Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. - Skills and Attributes: - Customer-service oriented. - Strong communication and team management abilities. - Ability to work within restaurant opening hours. - Education: High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.
