Description

Responsibilities and Duties
- Revenue Generation and Financial Performance:** - Promote the organization's offerings through effective sales strategies and persuasive selling techniques. - Develop and execute action plans designed to boost sales revenue. - Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform sales strategies. - Direct international sales leads to appropriate sales leadership. - Negotiate optimal pricing to maximize revenue while adhering to established sales guidelines. - Highlight the unique value proposition of the organization's offerings to capitalize on revenue opportunities. - Monitor existing business performance and contribute to sales strategy discussions to identify areas for growth. - Secure new business while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing corporate clients. - Develop and submit business proposals, tenders, and contracts for review by sales leadership. - Collaborate with leadership on the creation and management of the annual Sales & Marketing budget. - Contribute to the development of the annual departmental operating budget. - Complete all mandatory sales training programs. - Demonstrate proficiency in relevant operational systems. - Manage and control sales-related expenditures, securing necessary approvals from sales leadership. - Manage key corporate accounts with professionalism and integrity. - Represent the organization at sales events and promotional activities to generate new business. - Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including regional and global sales teams and key account managers. - Uphold high service standards through ongoing training and by setting a positive example, demonstrating key leadership competencies. - Ensure alignment among team members regarding brand service standards and protocols. - Maintain open communication with operations teams to address current and future guest needs. - Promote the organization's products and services to enhance the client experience. - Maintain detailed knowledge of the organization's offerings across the region. - Provide service to both existing and prospective clients through effective account management practices. - Address client feedback promptly and implement corrective measures to resolve concerns, collaborating with sales leadership as needed. - Establish and maintain a consistent schedule of client interactions and meetings with key stakeholders in target markets. - Provide market analysis and insights to inform sales strategies. - Cultivate relationships with business partners, event planners, tourism organizations, travel agents, airlines, corporate clients, government agencies, and other relevant industry contacts. - Enhance market presence through participation in relevant industry events as directed by sales leadership. - Organize client appreciation events and property tours to generate business opportunities. - Conduct regular visits to corporate clients, business partners, and industry associations. - Contribute to the development of new products and services. - Participate in the evaluation of sales and marketing campaign effectiveness. - Analyze sales data and its potential impact on organizational objectives, identifying any potential risks. - Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring all activities are conducted safely. - Understand and comply with relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines. - Be familiar with property safety protocols, first aid procedures, and emergency response plans, and operate equipment safely. - Take appropriate action to address hazardous situations and report potential dangers to management. - Document security incidents and accidents according to established procedures. - Actively contribute to environmental sustainability initiatives by implementing practices that reduce the property's environmental impact. - Maintain awareness of market trends and competitor activities. - Manage budgets and sales expenses responsibly, obtaining necessary approvals from sales leadership or general management. - Complete a set number of weekly sales activities, including client visits, site inspections, account reviews, and client entertainment. - Submit weekly sales activity reports. - Submit the following week's sales schedule. - Assist sales leadership in updating reports and presentations. - Maintain accurate sales target and revenue data. - Collaborate with team members and revenue management to achieve monthly property budget targets and individual sales goals. - Contribute to food and beverage revenue generation by promoting event spaces to corporate clients and business partners. - Support reservation and sales support staff. - Assist in maintaining accurate client data. - Prepare materials for weekly revenue meetings. - Participate in weekly sales and group meetings. - Consult with sales leadership on new inquiries from corporate clients, business partners, and event planning companies. - Utilize and develop local negotiated rate tools for contracted corporate accounts. - Maintain organized filing systems (both physical and digital) and manage client databases.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Two years of experience in reservations or a related sales function, including some supervisory training. - A positive, proactive, and learning-oriented attitude. - Demonstrated respect for team members, colleagues, and management. - A commitment to developing strong working relationships with reporting managers and team members. - A strong desire for professional growth and advancement. - A collaborative approach to working across different departments. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
