JUNIOR SOUS CHEF / SOUS CHEF

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Junior Sous Chef/Sous Chef. In this role, you will be instrumental in upholding the quality and consistency of our dishes, working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless operations. You will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef, managing kitchen staff, and contributing to the overall success of our diverse culinary concepts.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Support the Head Chef in planning, directing, and overseeing food preparation and kitchen operations. * Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, productivity, and a collaborative team environment. * Ensure all dishes consistently meet the restaurant's high standards for taste, presentation, and quality. * Monitor inventory levels and assist in the procurement of ingredients and supplies. * Enforce strict adherence to all hygiene and safety regulations within the kitchen. * Contribute to menu development by assisting in the creation and testing of new menu items and seasonal specials. * Assume responsibility for and manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef. * Manage food costs effectively, minimize waste, and optimize kitchen efficiency. * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Demonstrated experience as a Junior Sous Chef/Sous Chef or in a comparable leadership position within a professional kitchen. * Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred. * Strong understanding of kitchen operations, diverse cooking techniques, and food safety regulations. * Excellent communication and leadership abilities. * Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently. * A genuine passion for culinary excellence and innovation. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
