Director of Sales & Marketing

This key leadership position oversees all sales and marketing activities for the property. The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and implementation of effective sales and marketing strategies. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Supervise the development and implementation of the annual Sales & Marketing Plan, including setting department goals, policies, and procedures. * Define and execute effective sales and marketing strategies for both corporate and travel trade segments, including pricing and promotional strategies. * Clearly communicate strategic sales objectives to the Sales & Marketing team and provide effective leadership, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and addressing team issues. * Continuously monitor competitor activities, including occupancy rates, pricing, renovations, marketing campaigns, and special events. * Conduct market research to understand competitive trends and identify opportunities for revenue growth. * Propose and develop creative promotional materials for use in sales calls, international trade shows, and other marketing activities. * Maximize revenue through effective utilization of automated sales and reservations systems, particularly for group business. * Be willing to adapt and take on new responsibilities as the needs of the business evolve.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a sales and marketing leadership role within the hospitality industry. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public. * Possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the drive to excel in a challenging environment. * Goal-oriented, innovative, creative, and decisive with the ability to make sound business decisions.
