Description

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and common areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. Duties include prioritizing room cleaning based on occupancy status, restocking supplies, handling guest laundry requests, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The role also involves managing guest keys and lost items, maintaining organized section pantries, and ensuring amenities meet required standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

Collect daily occupancy, arrival, departure, and guest request details from the supervisor at the start of the shift. Clean guest rooms to established standards, prioritizing based on room status, and coordinate with the linen runner. Accurately complete daily worksheets and handle guest laundry/dry-cleaning requests. Return guest keys to reception or the supervisor and document items left behind by guests. Restock and organize section pantries before the end of the shift. Notify the supervisor of unserved rooms (e.g., Do Not Disturb) before finishing the shift. Replenish cleaning materials and ensure equipment is ready for use. Inspect and report damaged linen and maintenance issues for prompt resolution. Ensure guest rooms are adequately stocked with soap, amenities, and other supplies.

Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred. Ability to follow cleaning protocols and maintain high cleanliness standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physically fit to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving supplies. Basic communication skills in English to follow instructions and communicate with team members. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required. Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and safety procedures is an advantage.
