Description
We are seeking a meticulous, dependable, and enthusiastic Kitchen Chef to become a vital part of our culinary team at our unique dining establishment in Paya Lebar, Singapore. Responsibilities and Duties
* Perform daily preparation tasks and manage your station to ensure efficient and consistent service during all operating hours. * Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to our brand's established standards for quality, flavor profiles, and visual presentation. * Support the mise en place process and contribute to a seamless workflow within the kitchen across all service periods. * Adhere to the highest standards of food hygiene and safety practices at all times. * Ensure correct food handling, labeling, and storage procedures are followed according to standard operating procedures. * Carry out regular cleaning duties and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. * Communicate effectively with fellow chefs and service staff to ensure smooth coordination of dish timing and overall service flow. * Be adaptable and step in to assist at different kitchen stations as needed, maintaining consistency and quality even under pressure. * Assist in guiding and training junior kitchen team members, supporting their professional development within the kitchen. * Minimize food waste through thoughtful preparation techniques, proper stock rotation, and accurate portion control. * Inform the Head Chef promptly of any low-stock ingredients or equipment needs to ensure smooth operations. * Contribute to a kitchen culture that is mindful of costs without ever compromising on the quality of our offerings.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Possess 2 to 4 years of practical experience working in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a premium or concept-driven restaurant environment. * Familiarity with the operational aspects of a commercial kitchen, including a solid understanding of food safety and HACCP principles. * Demonstrate skillful execution in plating, ingredient preparation, and maintaining consistency in all dishes. * Comfortable with working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet the demands of the business. * A culinary diploma or relevant certification is advantageous, but a strong dedication to the craft and demonstrated skills are of primary importance.
