Assistant Restaurant Manager

Description

We are seeking friendly and attentive individuals to join our service team and create positive dining experiences for our guests. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, welcoming customers, taking their orders with care, and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously. Your focus will be on providing exceptional service and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Warmly greet arriving customers and guide them to their tables. * Present menus and efficiently take customer orders, noting any special requests accurately. * Engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints effectively. * Ensure that orders are accurate and delivered to the correct tables in a timely manner. * Communicate clearly with kitchen staff regarding order details and any special instructions. * Accurately input customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system. * Prepare table settings and maintain a clean and organized dining area. * Keep tables tidy by clearing finished courses, replacing utensils, and refilling water glasses. * Process customer payments accurately and efficiently. * Address customer complaints with politeness and professionalism. * Communicate with kitchen staff and stay informed about daily specials, menu changes, and reservation details. * Maintain a current and thorough understanding of all menu items and daily specials. * Be able to work independently while also contributing positively as a team member. * Adhere to all safety, health, and hygiene guidelines and procedures. * Perform any other related tasks as requested. * Always aim for the highest level of customer satisfaction, ensuring guests are pleased with their food, drinks, and service. * Be comfortable communicating with customers who speak Chinese and English. * Must be available to work on weekends and Public Holidays.

* A friendly and outgoing personality with a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service. * Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. * Ability to take orders accurately and handle payments efficiently. * A proactive and attentive approach to anticipating and meeting customer needs. * Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. * Willingness to learn and maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials. * Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. * Must be able to work on weekends and Public Holidays. * Comfortable communicating with customers in both Chinese and English. * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
