Description

A passionate and seasoned culinary leader is needed to take command of our bustling kitchen. This individual will be the driving force behind our culinary creations, ensuring every dish is a testament to quality and customer satisfaction. You'll be the primary point of contact for all kitchen operations, leading a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your ability to craft innovative menus, manage kitchen resources, and maintain the highest standards of food safety will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Direct and oversee all aspects of food preparation and related kitchen activities. * Develop and refine menus, introducing new and exciting dishes while maintaining consistent quality. * Conduct thorough inspections of all dishes, ensuring they meet our high standards before serving. * Manage inventory, ordering supplies and equipment as needed to prevent shortages. * Coordinate and oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and repairs. * Proactively address and resolve any kitchen-related issues or defects. * Lead the recruitment, management, and training of all kitchen staff. * Supervise and guide the work of kitchen subordinates. * Accurately assess staff workloads and handle payroll and attendance records. * Ensure strict compliance with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations. * Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment. * Maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment. * Apply advanced cooking techniques and food preparation methods. * Create and maintain accurate records of inventory and food production. * Implement and enforce quality control procedures. * Develop innovative service initiatives. * Adhere to strict food and beverage safety and hygiene policies. * Prepare and utilize various herb and spice blends. * Master diverse culinary recipes and techniques. * Administer purchasing and receiving protocols. * Apply food chemistry and psychosociology principles. * Implement loss and risk prevention strategies. * Interpret culinary nutrition information.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Extensive experience as a head chef, demonstrating strong kitchen management skills. * Proven ability to effectively delegate tasks and monitor progress. * Exceptional communication and leadership skills. * Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen workflows. * Proficiency in using computer programs, including MS Office and restaurant management software. * Valid health and safety training certifications. * A degree in culinary arts or a related field, or equivalent certification. * Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure. * Strong understanding of food and beverage hygiene practices. * Demonstrated ability to create and maintain consistent recipes. * A strong understanding of inventory control systems.
