Kitchen Assistant

Description

We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support daily meal preparation for both residents and staff. This role is ideal for someone with basic kitchen experience who understands the importance of hygiene, safety, and dietary requirements. You’ll work closely with the chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food service.

Responsibilities and Duties

*Assist in preparing meals in line with specific dietary needs and guidelines *Maintain cleanliness by thoroughly washing and sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment *Perform basic cooking and food preparation tasks confidently *Operate kitchen appliances and equipment safely and efficiently *Follow instructions from the chef to ensure timely and organized meal service *Adhere to strict food hygiene and safety regulations at all times *Help ensure food quality and consistency through proper preparation and handling *Support a safe working environment by following all health and safety procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

*Minimum primary school education (UPSR or equivalent) *At least 1 year of relevant kitchen experience preferred *Able to work on a rotating shift schedule (excluding overnight shifts) *Must be available to work 6 days a week, including weekends and public holidays *Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high hygiene and safety standards
